Speed Up Internet Connection Using AnalogX FastCache

Let's face it, there probably never will come a day when the Internet is fast enough.  Sure, the Internet will get FASTER, but the faster it becomes, the greedier the applications will become and this software right back where we started. That's where AnalogX FastCache comes in - making your day to day Internet experience just a bit faster.

:::What this program does:::

At it's core, FastCache really is a simple caching DNS proxy server - it sits between programs on your computer accessing the Internet and the DNS servers that map domain names to IP addresses.  Normally a DNS query happens very quickly, in the neighborhood of around a couple hundred milliseconds - that's roughly a tenth or twentieth of a second.  This means that the first time you go to a certain domain, it takes the normal amount of time to look up the domain name, but each subsequent time you return should be instant (as long as it remains in the cache).  But what good is saving a FRACTION of a second!?!? In and of itself, not of much value at all, but the beauty of DNS is that you don't normally just make a couple of requests a day - with normal browsing you can literally make hundreds of requests, and that starts to add up.

The biggest reason this will always buy you a time savings is because many domains are configured with timeout periods which are very small, some as little as a couple seconds, some a few minutes to an hour, with the rest normally in the one day range.  Since FastCache can override the normal timeout period, you can
help to eliminate duplicate requests.

Network Administrator Tool

Bellow is the must have software for a Network Administrator to help your job maintaining the network. Some of the software bellow also widely used by hacker help their dirty job. So dont be surprise if these software included in the Hacking Tool Download List.

1. Angry IP Scanner

Angry IP Scanner (or simply ipscan) is an open-source and cross-platform network scanner designed to be fast and simple to use. It scans IP addresses and ports. Angry IP scanner is fast and friendly network scanner for Windows, Linux, and Mac. It is very extensible, allowing it to be used for very wide range of purposes, with the primary goal of being useful to network administrators.

It is widely used by network administrators and just curious users around the world, including large and small enterprises, banks, and government agencies.

It runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X, possibly supporting other platforms as well.

2. NetScan

Features :
  • Wake-on-LAN and remote shutdown
  • WMI Query builder and scanning
  • Remote file, registry and services
  • Remote shutdown and power off
Visit the help page from the official site.

3. NetworkActiv Port Scanner

The interface is divided into 2 parts, the Port Scanner (Left Side) and the Sub-net Scanner (Right Side). One reason being that they are not together is that a standard Multi-IP port scanner does not perform well for sub-net scanning and is therefore a compromise. Another advantage of this style is that you can sub-net scan to find IP's and then double click them to perform tasks upon them (port scan, open, etc.). You will notice that there is a speed control in the middle of the two sections, this control obviously controls the speed of both, note that the speed for a particular scan is set at the start of the scan and therefore changing the speed during a scan will not affect the scan, this is so you can set different speeds for the port scanner and the sub-net scanner. Note that all program settings are saved on exit and restored the next time the program executes.

4. Cports

CurrPorts displays the list of all currently opened TCP/IP and UDP ports on your local computer. For each port in the list, information about the process that opened the port is also displayed, including the process name, full path of the process, version information of the process (product name, file description, and so on), the time that the process was created, and the user that created it. In addition, CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened the ports, and save the TCP/UDP ports information
to HTML file , XML file, or to tab-delimited text file. CurrPorts also automatically mark with pink color suspicious TCP/UDP ports owned by unidentified applications (Applications without version information and icons)

5. Fdbget

How does it work and what does it do?

Simply enter the IP address of your switch and its SNMP read community in the  fields and press the Retrieve Table button to get the list. If it fails you will  be told (see statusbar). Fdbget.exe is a little tool to retrieve entries from the forwarding database  of switches. It gives you a table of MAC to interface number. If you are looking for a specific MAC on a switch then simply enter the MAC or part of it  into the search field (without regular expressions).  The table results and search results are exported to separate files. A new feature is the ability to use parameters (IP,community) with program start. A log file will be generated automatically. This will enable the user to start  fdbget by command line and on multiple devices, then collect all the log files for
analysis.

Use the syntax
fdbget.exe
A results file is automatically generated with the name
"fdbgetresult__yyyymmdd_hhnn". The program is terminated after that.

6. Advanced IP Scanner

What is Advanced IP Scanner?

Advanced IP Scanner is a fast, robust and easy-to use LAN scanner for Windows. It easily lets you have various types of information about local network computers in a few seconds. It gives you one-click access to many useful functions - remote shutdown and wake up, Radmin integration and more!

Powered with multi-thread scan technology, this program can scan hundreds computers per second, allowing you to scan 'C' or even 'B' class network even from your modem connection.

Try this program and you will see, how easy and simple your network management can be.

7.  Network Keyboard Leds

This program shows your network traffic using the caps-,num- and scroll-lock leds on your keyboard. You can fully customize the program for example you are able to select a led to show download and another to show upload network activity of course you can also only show download or upload traffic.

8. NetBrute Scanner

NetBrute scans a range of IP addresses for shared resources that have been shared via Microsoft File and Printer Sharing. In addition, any SMB compatible shared resources will show (i.e. Samba Servers on a Unix/Linux machine). It is to be used by system administrators or home users to see what types of resources are shared and to warn the computer users if any unsecured resources are displayed.

Ideally, only folders and printers should be shared if it is intended for the whole world to access them. If the folders and printers are not intended for the whole world, then passwords should be applied to the resources.

NetBrute will find all resources, whether they have passwords or not. However if you attempt to access a resource that is password protected, you will be prompted to enter a password. Any password that is not easily guessed is usually sufficient for protection of shared resources, however to prevent dictionary attacks, it should not be any word contained in the dictionary, any proper name, or completely numeric. A future version of NetBrute may allow a dictionary attack on password protected resources to verify that a good password scheme is implemented.

9. Port Detective

Port Detective gives you the Plain and Simple results on what ports are open, blocked or in use, and it can even detect what ports are blocked by your Internet Service provider!  This allows Cable modem or xDSL users to instantly get an idea on what ports their ISP may block, so they know what Internet Services they can run.

Port Detective gives you important open port information on your ISP/Cable/xDSL provider.  Port Detective  will automatically respond to our Port Detective.com Internet Servers, and a remote probe will examine the open ports to your PC, and give you a diagnosis on what servers/services can be run on your local server. Port Detective is also very useful to check local firewalls and proxy servers for security holes. If you see a port open or in use, then you can investigate and properly secure your local server or LAN.
